With that said, in the very short term (unless bonanza news comes out) we're probably going to see a drop in SP, especially from tax-loss selling for the next 2 weeks or so. Then probably a decent rally from TFSA buying at these huge bargain prices in January. My TA is poor at best, was wondering if anyone has an estimate or range of how much we could fall?
Unrelated question: I'm not sure my TFSA has the max contributions I could have made, and I switched brokers halfway through the year (TD to QuesTrade) how do I see what my contribution room/limit should be and how much I've used of it? As well as the future, let's say I have $15,000 worth of CUU and we get bought out and that becomes $60,000. If I withdraw $30,000, the following year I can contribute $30,000 + $5,000, no? So where can I see my max contribution limit for the year & how much I've already contributed? Ask my accountant blah blah blah ya, but seeing if someone knows here now (or perhaps is an accountant)
