China's challenge is to provide housing and all the supporting infrastructure for 320,000,000 rural folks that are moving into China's cities over the next 15-20 years. Even if the GDP goes down they will still require copper etc. to do the job. I would hate to see 320,000,000 cheezed of people, and I am sure the Chinese government feels the same.
