I had to educate myself a bit on the FWM deal...

March 2011 article on Far West Mining not too long before the sale to Capstone. http://www.resourceintelligence.net/16317/16317

FWM was trading in the mid $7 range and was sold for a cash value of $9.19* * http://capstonemining.com/s/FarWestAcquisition.asp

FWM's main asset was the Santo Domingo copper-iron-gold project in Chile (0.46% Cu eq). Capstone quickly flipped a 30% stake to KORES.

The first half of Capstone's corp presentation (http://capstonemining.com/i/pdf/2011-11-22-Q3-11-Corporate-FINAL.pdf) has some good overview of the copper market and where the big producers sit. Capstone sees itself moving up to the #4 cu producer (slide#22) in 2012. Capstone has grown their Cu mineral reserve by 447% and production 200%. Another company that sees its future involve Cu.
