However, here you are making an assumption that CUU management would care about the daily, or weekly, or even monthly, fluctuations in SP. From my personal interaction with CUU management I am very confident that they have their eyes set on the BIG prize, and are not really concerned that much what Mr. Market does or thinks. IF CUU management were really interested in prepping up the SP and managing the process to the buyout with the psychological well being of the retail investor at heart, we would see a very different PR to what we now have. My interpretation of the current (and past) PR efforts is that they see the light at the end of the tunnel, and that to worry about the SP and retail investor expectations would just be a distraction. I think they have the big prize firmly in their cross hairs.
