Let's not worry about this. He is a Business Man. I'm sure that this was done with good advice from a Tax Advisor friend of his. It was probably done because in a near future, they will end up saving a few thousand dollars on a tax return, somehow, like rich people typically manage to do. That's how rich people get richer.
