I distinctly recall seeing a mining survey in the International California Mining Journal during the period Webgogs refers to. The Province of BC was rated at 49th out of 50 as the least mining friendly area on the planet for mining. This is fact and reality. Mining funds flow to countries / provinces that are friendly to mining operations, and politicl forces are definately a factor.
