This is ridiculous. Creating a witch hunt, all you're doing is scaring new investors away and clogging up the board full of non-usefull information. This is all politics.
You should judge a post for the content that it holds, not because of who says it. Granted - certain people tend to have good content over and over, and certain people tend to have bad content over and over. However, don't let your heuristics fool you. Just because someone who is part of a group that you agree with, doesn't mean that you shouldn't critically evaluate what he or she has to say. On the flipside, just because someone is in a camp that you usually disagree with, doesn't mean you shouldn't give their opinion any weight and listen to the merits of what they're saying.
If anyone uses their brain, they can judge the content of the post for what it contains. Having a probation period is ridiculously constraining. Not only that, but you don't take the time to consider opposing view points. You see things through only your own distorted rose coloured view and if you suspect something - it must be the right thing, and it's not possible for anyone else with a differing opinion to have a point. It must be staged, or they must be paid - hardly (although it definitely does happen, you think it happens far more than it probably does). Every coin has two sides.
New investors would be better informed if there wasn't clutter about who's a "true long" and who's a "basher" and forum politics. They'd be better informed if they use their head and judge every post they read critically instead of putting them into groups of "X said this so it must be good or true" and "Y said this so it must be bad and false".
“The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser men so full of doubts.”
― Bertrand Russell
You need to see both sides. Pros and the Cons. Don't be a bull or a bear. Be a rational investor.
