CUU own 25% Schaft Creek: proven/probable min. reserves/940.8m tonnes = 0.27% copper, 0.19 g/t gold, 0.018% moly and 1.72 g/t silver containing: 5.6b lbs copper, 5.8m ounces gold, 363.5m lbs moly and 51.7m ounces silver; (Recoverable CuEq 0.46%)
It doesn't really matter how much they have to spend to earn-back since they have to spend billions of dollars anyway. Their money goes towards building the mine and it might cost around $3 billion. The only difference is that one quarter of it, or the amount we spent will be credited back to us. So we would be even.
Unless this money is not considered a qualifying expenditure because it is exploring lands that Teck doesn't have an option to earn back. Then the expenses are ours, and everything they discover is ours too.
National has been selling and keeping the price down.
