CUU own 25% Schaft Creek: proven/probable min. reserves/940.8m tonnes = 0.27% copper, 0.19 g/t gold, 0.018% moly and 1.72 g/t silver containing: 5.6b lbs copper, 5.8m ounces gold, 363.5m lbs moly and 51.7m ounces silver; (Recoverable CuEq 0.46%)
Yes, gold is rising and many think it will go through the roof in light of this economy going forward.
We have more gold than many gold miners, and i wouldn't doubt we have 20 - 30 million oz in them thar hills. Many stones left unturned.
This is shaping up to be a huge and profitable mine for decades to come. This type and size of resource is sure to get some eyeballs after the confirmation of a huge resource that is getting bigger.
We have some nice catalysts that should be coming in soon as well. The aerials, more drilling to define edges and much more.
I'm positive the insiders don't care about the day to day share price. I think they already know what they are going to get at minimum.
I think there is a bigger picture going on behind the scenes. This is complicated and its massive.
Other players may be part of this. A spinco could be as well.
Teck and CUU are getting all the ducks in a row before a major announcement .. aka, halt.
If insiders are indeed buying again today ... wake up! This share price is a steal.
If we screamed to 2.75 with much less of a resource and much less proven, then the factors that took it there will be the same factors (and investors) that will take it to 3.50 or beyond in a hiccup.
This is a win win for CUU shareholders. Rest assured that Teck backs in for the full monty ... come on ... like someone said here some time ago in a good analogy... would you trade a couple of dimes for a shiny new five dollar bill?
A big yes, and the kicker is that if they don't bite off all that they can chew, then there will be many hungry dogs out there wanting to swallow up this resource. And it could be of the Chinese variety.
A bidding war could ensue and we will realize a bonanza share price increase on this one.
Don't be surprised if copper is no longer the prize here. Think gold and silver. Don't forget moly and rhenium.
Things are going to get better.
This budding mining district has already stretched out far beyond first indexed parameters ... and will stretch some more.
As Vette and others have pointed out ... Teck won't wait for the fs ... I agree.
And they have lots to do to earn their share. CUU is in a very good position indeed.
Buyouts often happen out of the blue with nary a peep.
That silence is critical, and often that silence or lack of communication is mistaken for poor public relations and / or lack of transparency.
Many cases in point have been cited here.
During the lull, share price gets driven down out of investor boredom, and manipulation by those higher powers in tune with the big picture ... the end result.
Look for that lull. Buy when others are selling.
The end game is near on this stock. That thought has been beaten to death.
Recognize it and hold on to your shares.
One day ... any day hereafter, you will open up your screen and see those 'trading halted' words in red on your CUU window.
When that happens ... and it will ... I hope you have as many shares as you can possibly afford.
A fitting end to a long journey. Those who held will earn their just reward.
