Quant View - Raising Copper Exposure on Surprise China

Rate Cut

 We are raising our position to 2% from 0.9% following the surprise China interest rate cut.

 We expect most commodities will rally following this event.

 Copper is entering a seasonally strong period and may offer the most near-term

upside.

 A relatively large speculative net short position (CME) has been built in copper

futures over the past several weeks.

 We believe that this event could cause a short cover rally.
