The debt situation in the western world is becoming critical and eventually they will face the fact, a debt problem can't be solved by borrowing more and adding to the debt problem, unless you're willing to allow the fiat currency to be debased in a meaningful way.

Thruout history this has happened many times and the only things that have retained value are precious metals and possibly land. also, what modern society can exist without vast ammounts of copper for electrical purposes.
