Many have speculated that Teck will buy out CUU completely, thereby avoiding the 4 year timeline for building a mine and gaining control over all identified prospects in the district.

On the other hand, there are persistent statements that CUU (presumably with Teck) is working diligently to outline which claims are solely the property of CUU and which ones fall within the Area of Interests. Such action seems incompatible with a complete buyout.
