Thanks for the info, I'm getting there in understanding who owns what etc. Another question for you, "Why didn't Elmer buy the lands outside the questionable 2kms boundaries under another name, e.g., Stewart Land? Wouldn't that have avoided all confusion in the negotiations? It would have made life more simple for me:

this belongs to Stewart Land.
