An article in the Globe today quotes (the highly regarded) John Ing as saying that gold stocks should enjoy a phoenix-like rise in pricing. Junior stocks will lag behind the majors and mid-tier miners. He says that currently gold reserves are being valued at $400 an ounce.
That gives us an idea of how our 7.3 million ounces of gold should be valued in a buy-out. No word on copper, but those articles I quoted awhile ago gave $.54 to $.94 per pound of copper in situ. (I think, I'm going by memory here because I have a poor internet connection right now and can't look things up.)
