I always thought that when Elmer said "Teck has a good poker face" he meant that he didn't know what Teck was going to do, i.e. how much of a backin, if they'd buy them out etc.

It has (in my mind) nothing to do with "Are they bluffing?"

Obviously, he has some idea of Teck will do - not necessarily because of anything they've said or done, but because he's seen what SC is worth and has worked with the project intimately.
