Re: “That Southern Anomaly is so big some of it actually goes into Teck land.”
It seems to me that Elmer has previously downplayed the significance of the southern anomalies from the aerial magnetics. Perhaps with the end game in sight, he is willing to talk more freely about its prospects, especially if there is little further chance of acquiring more claims in that area .
At the AGM, Elmer made the same comment to me that Chappy reported yesterday – that “Elmer mentioned that the magnetic 'blobs' … could be iron sulfide mineralization OR copper (+other metal) mineralization. Both types result in positive magnetic returns. “
Previously, I got the impression that Elmer was leaning towards the iron sulfide theory for the south. What I do not understand is how he had initial optimism for northern magnetic anomalies but not similar ones in the south.Perhaps it was because the majority of the southern anomaly was not on our claims. Or, perhaps he just needed the Aster data to sway his opinion towards copper sulfides.
It would be nice to know the exact location of the southern anomaly. From Chappy and Golfyeti’s information, it appears to me that most of it is on Paget or Teck claims (and less on our Hickman area claims). If that is the case, we should be more excited about the prospects for Paget and Teck.Nonetheless, any expansion of the district is beneficial to us.
