I agree with some of what you've said. Some of it I'm not really sure I understand either.
I'm not sure I agree with your point about the feasability study having little impact. I think the release of the study will do a lot to stimulate interest in the company. This could mean attracting investment houses, larger investors, and even mining companies other than teck. I think that the release will trigger this interest, which in turn will cause buying by investors, ending the regular manipulation that you see with this stock.

Even on a smaller scale, the manipulation is easy to see, but you also see those shares get pulled and the game called off when real buyers appear.
