I am not sure why we are so hung up on the $80 M that's spent and gone!

In the final analysis, that $80 M is insignificant and irrelevant. If TCK or whoever wants to buy us out, they would look at what is in the ground or what is the NPV based on the stuff found in the ground and make their offer accordingly. The buyer is not going to look at whether CUU spent $80 or $100 M to this point and compensate CUU for it. If CUU found nothing, then the $80M spent so far would be worth a big fat nothing.
