I believe he is guessing that some traders are short on other mining stocks that have rallied in recent days and they are selling CUU to cover those short positions. Certainly a possibility, but irrelevant, in my view. We have significant evidence that a deal is already made and that the details are being worked out prior to official signing. Even with large companies with dozens of highly paid analysts watching every move, the market price can be illogical in the short term. If you keep looking for justifications for short term moves or lack thereof in a stock that is 70%+ privately owned with a total value of less than 1/2 Billion and not covered by any major analysts, you may end up living in a fantasy world. Just keep in mind all the posts recently about spouses and friends putting pressure on posters because somebody's brother-in-laws uncle's nephew is making a killing day trading. Sellers (and buyers) don't have to have any rational basis to act. However, I believe Elmer and EE do act logically. That includes making certain that the formal paperwork properly reflects any deal they may have initialed and will not be subject to legal challenges now or down the road.
