I think it's possible the Arizona properties were actually sort of a poison pill

A way to discourage Teck from the full buyout

That would support the CUU 2.0 theory by negotiating an asset split including Arizona and masybe some of the BC properties requiring additional exploration

..I do not believe Elmer or Teck really want to mess around with the Arizona properties
