Is there any chance that this whole buy-out process could be contingent on the awarding of the evironmental permits first.
This can't happen. Teck has to declare their intentions within 60/120 days. They can't make their declaration contingent on anything. We can't apply for the final permit until the feasibility is out. Teck could try and buy out our remaining portion after they declare their percentage, but there would be no reason that we would accept such a condition, and others would be lining up to buy into the project after Teck shows its interest.
On both the federal level and the provincial level we have extremely motivated and pro-development governments. It's hard to imagine anyone else being this keen to pass an environmental permit.
