I'm less concerned about whether the Board of Directors could make this decision without a shareholder vote, given EE's majority shares, but more about how much money would be given to the shareholders and how that is decided.
Agreed on the importance of this, and maybe as the gov't site says, we'll have a token vote - I'm fine with a dividend and the company retaining some cash for acquisitions and exploration (maybe $50 million). But the bulk of the profits on the sale of our interest in Schaft (and our surrounding lands) should definitely end up in the hands of shareholders. I don't think this is a bad strategy, tax considerations aside for some, because we can get a fat payout and then each can decide whether or not to move on or stay for another ride with Copper Fox.
Got to ask Elmer about the strategy on the water for AZ. I'd be tempted to hang around a little longer if it is a dividend we get, but some of you have me wondering now on the AZ properties. We should all know a lot more a month from now when the BFS has dropped and more info on AZ properties has been made known.
As an aside, I am liking where the 3 year trailing price is going for metals. Every week longer until a deal is done could mean a few cents more per share if metals keep the upward trend.
