Someone (I forget who) recently said something about in order to create a spinoff with the AZ properties CUU has to do some actual drilling/geo work on the land...or it was something to that extent - legal requirements.
If that were true, then Elmer's obviously gunning for a CUU2.0 with AZ, and I agree - I don't think Teck at this point wants or cares about AZ. I think that's Elmer shifting his focus post CUU...which brings the question, why...?
Alerce reported here:

that the drill was called off, after it had already begun to head for the (previously shut down due to "costs") camp. Since then, we've heard that Elmer changed his mind, and he had enough of what he needed. And since then, the focus was now AZ. I'm pretty sure this was confirmed via a phone call with CUU by one of the members here.
I for one am pretty sure Elmer's got enough ducks lined up that we're just waiting for BFS completion - IE sort of an informal 'we'll take it, just show me the BFS so I can go to the board and shareholders' type of arrangement. I can't conlcude anything else by the decision to REVERSE the decision to continue drilling. That's why I think Elmer is concentrating on AZ with a post-CUU view.
Of course, that's my theory, no facts involved :)
