A lot of upset is because of peoples inflated expectations. Over 50% of people (based on Pool buyout dates) thought a full buyout would have happened already, and that's because of unrivaled optimism and an in-group/out-group mentality. Anyone who is supportive and "long and strong" is "in" and anyone who mentions any negatives is a "basher" and they're out. This creates a huge sort of polarized group think.
Again, the majority of people thought "we'll get a pre-BFS buyout". Just like the rapture, it's just a day away, everday. Like the article teamjen posted says, "Any type of project, infrastructure, I.T., mining, you name it, if it’s more than $1 billion I would count on delays.".
Like I have said before, even if they got the BFS today - i.e. TT has handed over the document to CUU, does that mean they have to send out a NR the same day? No. They have to do it in a reasonable amount of time. There's a reason they've changed the timing to September from Late summer. Becaus they changed it, today is of no significance. This goes for future things as well. When we get the BFS, that doesn't mean that we're done...We've just hit a major milestone. It's not a guarantee it'll be over in a month. They still have 120 days, which they very well could use the full time to make a decision (even if it's a possibility that they do it on the same day). Even after that, after 120 days, if they have an offer it takes time to send out a voting package to everyone so that we can say yes/no (even if it's decided before we retail even vote). That alone can take a month.
People just need to manage their expectations. Take both the good and the bad. Stop fighting amongst ourselves and creating an us versus them approach, and start to listen to all sides - and use the information to create our own judgements. Don't rely or listen to just Vette. At the same time, don't rely or just listen to webgogs. Form your own opinions, and think about when YOU actually think things will happen and do it with a balanced opinion.
