To put it simply, if CUU shares are bought out in cash, 2013 is better as capital gains will be deferred to 2013; if the shares are bought out in TCK shares then the timing is irrelevant as the shareholder can decide when to liquidate the shares and realize the capital gain. But of course, most would prefer to have the buy out asap regardless of how as the longs has been waiting for "a few more weeks" for the last two years! JMO GLTA!
