My guess as a P.E is he is talking about the method to be used to transport mined rock from the pit to the processing facilities. A large open pit mining operation must deal with this question of how to efficiently move hundreds of tons of rock several kms. One way to do this is of course to use Massive mining trucks. The largest ones on the market can carry a payload of approx. 300 metric tons and costs appox. 3.5M a piece. With a daily production rate of 120,000 tons it doesn't take a genius to figure out that you will need up to a hundred trucks making approx 5 runs/day to make this rate possible. A hundred of these trucks is going to be VERY expensive to buy and operate. Capex just on 100 would be 350M just for the trucks.

Another way mines have used to solve this problem which is much more cost effective is to install conveyor belt systems that transport the material from the source to the processing facility. Depending on the length, they can reduce the capex considerably as compared to using all trucks to move material. WG may be talking about these systems incorporated into our mining plan design to keep our capex down. It will be interesting to finally see the BFS and how they will hold down the capex.
