Why would Stifel want to raise the SP? They have enough shares as they want. When they were buying a lot of juniors were doing well, and over the last year a lot of juniors have been hit hard. They, like the majority of large holders will only be able to "cash in" from a "liquidity event" so the only thing to do for them is to sit back and wait for that to happen.
Would not Stifel want to try to average down? For the amount of money that they have put in CUU at the amount that they bought at...WOW.
I would think that Stifel would buy at these low prices....then other people would see this and instead of lowering the price....it would go up.
I believe that Stifel IF they wanted to can control this SP.
I have been told in some instances....buyouts price calculations ( sometimes) are a % of the SP....I do not know if that is true but if it is....would not Stifel have lots to loose.
Now from what is said here....then if Stifel just needs to sit back and wait for it to happen, then the SP has nothing to do with the boy out price.
