I tend to agree with cbew's thinking on this
I suspect that it would be in CUU's interest to make the BFS public
It would be the only way that stakeholders could be comfortable with any negotiated sale of the subject assets
...and some have floated the possibility of legal action in the event of a blindsided transaction
Depending on what that price might be, I would entertain joining such an action if we are sold without seeing the price basis
At the same time, I do not think Teck is particularly anxious to sign over the Liard shares to an entity that would then be free to sell itself, along with the Liard interests to the highest bidder
In order to satisfy all of these issues, I also believe the BFS and a Teck buyout may be announced simultaneously
...which explains to a certain extent the protracted time for making any of this public
