How many think that we will see a concurrent buyout with the release of the BFS? Or will we just see the BFS?
I'm of the camp that we'll see a concurrent buyout offer with the BFS. If it was just the BFS, it's not like I won't wait for the final outcome - but I will be unhappy they didn't release bits and parts or give us any guidance earlier.
They could have released the mine plan, or parts of it from anytime in September to now. They could have given us an actual guidance to where CAPEX will be, and specifics on how they've mitigated and attempted to deal with it. General updates in the last month etc.
As to why I think we'll get a buyout offer is because of how close the relationship with Teck and CUU is, it's not like they haven't had the database to run their own numbers, and I find it difficult to believe Teck wouldn't inquire about the actual ongoings at least a few times - since I'm sure they've ALSO been waiting for the BFS for quite some time, just like us (though they may have already gotten it). This shouldn't be a surprise when it comes out for them to require a bunch of time to make a decision. It's in their best interest to buyout SC, the contract/agreement with CUU, and it makes sense to do it sooner rather than later. The sheer amount of time we've apparently been in "review sessions" with reports that they've already been done as well as general common sense of how long it should take to do one. Legally they should be obliged to reveal any material info, and clearly they do take legal counsel seriously since they've been advised not to talk about the BFS. Plus what I said earlier, why WOULDN'T they have given us real guidance via NR unless they coudn't? They're not great with transparancy and communication but they're not THIS bad...
