I'm not sure a confidentiality agreement would be necessary with Teck since they already have access to our information anyways. I'm also not sure how I would feel if Copper Fox announced a confidentiality agreement. It seems to be a bit ambitious to announce something before a deal is in place. Here are a few examples of confidentiality agreements.

Inmet Mining

In 2011 we initiated a process to engage potential new partners in Cobre Panama. Interested parties are engaged at various stages of due diligence on the project under confidentiality agreements. We continue to advance alternative strategies to provide us with the development and financial capacity to proceed with the project if we conclude that the current partnership discussions will not maximize the value for Inmet’s shareholders. Petaquilla Minerals

As part of this global process, Petaquilla has entered into confidentiality agreements with a number of parties who are currently engaged in due diligence and discussions with the Company. These discussions are ongoing, and may lead to a transaction that is superior to Petaquilla and its shareholders from that proposed by Inmet (link here)

Teuton Resources

The Company is also pleased to report that a major mining concern with operating mines in North America has approached Teuton regarding the Tennyson property and that a confidentiality agreement has been signed. Representatives of this concern have made three visits to Stewart to examine Tennyson core, the most recent occurring a week ago. Representatives from an Asian copper smelter have also approached the Company regarding the property. (link here)

Baja Mining

In May, Baja retained BMO Capital Markets to assist in considering financing options and possible sources of funding. Since then 17 non-disclosure agreements have been signed and interested parties were granted access to the dataroom and attended management presentations. (link here)

Candente Copper

Cañariaco Norte is one of the largest undeveloped copper deposits currently under 100% control of a junior mining company, and a number of major and mid-size International companies have communicated interest to Candente regarding an investment in the project. Candente has entered into a Confidentiality Agreement with several of these third parties, some of whom are conducting technical reviews of project data, and have or are scheduled to visit the Cañariaco project site.
