well all imo, but I do believe the value of the metals on this property is going to surprise a great many people. I feel Teck will not want to let this one from their grasp (again), but how to justify the $ they will have to spend for the extra 25%?
The good publicity this will garner for Teck and "The Amazing Scoop" will propel them forward and aid them in their continued efforts to be a world-class "Diversified Miner" and its in their backyard!!
They will want to leverage this and the jobs this new "district" will bring to BC for all its worth. Behind the scenes you can bet they'll be looking for tax incentives breaks etc.
At a time when there has been some bad PR on "selling" Canadian interests to China, Teck will pitch this as "Another Canadian company keeping resources in Canada". Awesome PR.
I cant even see that an offer for the whole of CUU would prevent us from releasing the BFS. An offer would have to be News Released, and a "vote" take place, and full disclosure (all pertinent facts ie:BFS) made privy to ALL shareholders even though in fact only 1 would carry the vote.
Elmer has stated that the moment he has it in his hot little hands as a COMPLETED document and has it in writing that every QP has signed to their piece(s), he will make it public. I believe that this is a requirement as it is Material Information. I expect that means on the website, Sedar, and hand delivered to Teck.
I feel it will take place on a Friday and we will know Teck's position by the following Monday morning.
I also feel Teck has already run some scenarios of their own and will already have some number in mind from an offer point of view. Neither Teck nor CUU need delays caused by some shareholder feeling that Material Information was not released publicly.
Another thought I've had is that of Eat or Be Eaten. While Teck may be looking to aquire us and others, they also have to be on the lookout lest they find themselves the target of larger players. One way to protect against that is to "fatten" yourself up so that you are too big to be swallowed. Getting Shaft Creek and QB into production will go a long ways i feel.
