CUU own 25% Schaft Creek: proven/probable min. reserves/940.8m tonnes = 0.27% copper, 0.19 g/t gold, 0.018% moly and 1.72 g/t silver containing: 5.6b lbs copper, 5.8m ounces gold, 363.5m lbs moly and 51.7m ounces silver; (Recoverable CuEq 0.46%)
Maybe I shouldn't have said: "Its like this was written for Teck to repel any CUU bidders until they buy out the entire district..."
But this still seems unusual (not unusual bad, but unusual good), a BFS with written with a clear intent to demonstrate the ability to expand the project waaay beyond the BASE CASE.
As to why didnt Teck make the offer right away? Looking for partners still, negotiations with EE & ES have not started, the directors (including the CIC seat) needed time to see the final BFS released and mulled over prior to a takeover offer, ....
