I think you don't understand Stifel, aside from being a regional brokerage they are also an (American) investment banking firm, http://www2.stifel.com/site/content.aspx?id=2 I have a son in IB and these guys don't work 16-18 hours a day to make casual investment decisions. Their thoroughness is what makes them successful.
