I'm siding with Prospekt on this one. Teck will pay for what's proven, and what was proven through the BFS wasn't all that spectacular.
I don't buy the pie-in-the-sky shelling out of billions of dollars more for potential. That's just way too speculative. There are such examples, we keep hearing about Andean, but they are very few.
That may well mean that Teck takes Schaft Creek for a modest price (I'm realistically thinking $2-$2.50 per share with $3 as an unlikely but great premium), and then CUU continues to poke holes in the surrounding property for years to come.
Truly, I hope I'm dead wrong about this. I'd love for generaledger to have nailed how it all plays out. I'll be only too glad to post a public apology and admit I was a fool to have doubted if I get $5 for my CUU shares!
