ask Elmer: Why were the drills called off?

I asked Elmer that question. He said that the point of the drilling was to prove there was potential along strike. He also said they deliberately didn't want to drill a lot, and didn't want to spend a lot of money. He wanted to drill just enough to indicate they found a deposit and that the district had potential. His objective was to show that the geological anomaly that was indicated in the aerial surveys were mineralized.

As we all know the results showed .02% mineralization, which was 10X that of barren rock and achieved their goal. They also lost a lot of drills because they did not anticipate having such rough ground conditions. This meant they needed to use different equipment than the drills that were in place. They achieved their goal so they stopped.

He said that in his opinion we have a district and that there is a belt of highly prospective land going north 6-7 km. He also said that he thought those properties wouldn't get drilled again for 15-20 years by someone else when they run out of interesting things to do at Schaft Creek.
