As for developing both projects at once, or even increasing production to 180k tonnes/day - ain't going to happen. The three apllicants to the NTL (SC, Red Chris and Seabridge KSM), already account for all the capacity of the NTL. There is no excess to allow the power demand by SC to increase by 50%.

I beg to differ on this point about upgrading the NTL, because the BC Hydro rep who talked to a room full of BC/Yukon metallurgists and associates at the end of November (same conference as BC Metallurgist was at) said capacity could be doubled on the line that is being built. It will cost $ obviously, but the line was engineered for doubling the capacity.

Agreed that Galore is most likely being shelved for the time being however. It will probably be a lot more viable in 5-10 years (or 20?) presuming that gold/copper prices outpace upward creeping capex/opex costs.

I'm still uncertain on whether any agreement has yet been reached with Teck - I don't really see much evidence any way on this, although it's very likely some hints have been dropped along the way regarding how Teck would like to proceed. Copper Fox has taught me to expect the longest possible deadlines and then add a little, so personally, I'm planning on the BFS not getting delivered until Feb and decision not being made until June by Teck. One reason I figure, is that the longer Teck kick's the can down the road for paying us, the better for Teck. At any rate, may I be happily surprised ... I've heard the "next week" stuff when I've stopped in at the CUU offices before, so tend to believe it when I see it now.

Off topic: congrats to any FIS holders out there with announcement of the acquistion of most of their properties (by Denison) and a newco with the Patterson Lake property only. Time to get CUU done and move on ... trains are starting to leave the station elsewhere!
