CUU own 25% Schaft Creek: proven/probable min. reserves/940.8m tonnes = 0.27% copper, 0.19 g/t gold, 0.018% moly and 1.72 g/t silver containing: 5.6b lbs copper, 5.8m ounces gold, 363.5m lbs moly and 51.7m ounces silver; (Recoverable CuEq 0.46%)
My understanding is that if Teck doesn't want to play by the rules as currently established, Copper Fox have every right to look elsewhere for a major to come in and start a mine. I don't buy your scenario of "completely new, less exciting JV arrangement with CUU". You'd have an argument if Teck were the only game in town but Teck isn't the only game in town. It's the only game in town until such time that it decides what it wants to do within a limited time frame; after that, all bets are off and it's still Copper Fox in the driver's seat. Correction welcome.
