I think you've read the News Release correctly but this is not possible. Stock options expire on a date not on an event. Because the News Release did not even tell us what stock options they are referring to we can't see what the original date was.
The only way the line in question makes sense is if they will then be in blackout again as soon as the feasibility is released. Or, maybe they're in blackout now. Of course we wouldn't know this because we do not get told these sorts of things.
The disinterested shareholders, that would be all of us, get to vote on this extension at the next AGM, whenever that is. However, I believe that if there was an acquisition in the meantime, well, they just get their options.
