(...not wanting to put the cart before the horse with this discussion, and I think it's been addressed many months ago...)

Keep in mind that for tax purposes, I believe it would be much better to receive Teck shares.

Why?...because I believe the cost-base of your "old" CUU shares simply rolls-over to the new Teck shares.

Thus (...and this is the important part), you would not have to declare a taxable capital gain (on your "CUU" sale) until you actually sell your (new) Teck shares.

Consequently, you could delay having to take the entire tax hit at once (i.e. you could spread your Teck sales across several calendar years)

...if someone has better knowledge than me on this issue, feel free to interject...
