CUU own 25% Schaft Creek: proven/probable min. reserves/940.8m tonnes = 0.27% copper, 0.19 g/t gold, 0.018% moly and 1.72 g/t silver containing: 5.6b lbs copper, 5.8m ounces gold, 363.5m lbs moly and 51.7m ounces silver; (Recoverable CuEq 0.46%)
IMO.
1. EE is obligated to maximize SH value.
2. Say it's a premium to SP now. You HAVE to think, is it enough for EE to just take the buy out? OR just tell Teck to go decide how much they want to back in, CUU will rather keep the small percentage. And please...arrange financing for us. I don't mind taking half of CUU's cut every year for the next decades. And please...use some of YOUR money to drill more resources for me too.
3. If Teck doesn't play fair, they can back out, CUU will have other big players looking into SC. Teck will miss out a big part of the Golden Triangle.
