I take it that any shareholder notices for a vote must fall within the 120 days they have to make their decision, and vote. So I agree that Teck can't take much more than 45-60 days to make an offer, and maybe 30days or less if they "lowball" their offer, thereby chancing CUU refuses it.
If I were them, I would be weighing my offer right now and make it good enough that it has a real good chance (90%) of being accepted. A rejection of their initial offer really puts a squeeze on their time constraints to make another offer and get it approved within the 120 days. All of this really amounts to how bad they really want SC, and/or if they want a complete buyout.
Drop the BFS on em & get the clock ticking !!!!!
