you are correct, the #'s reported in the document are actually Kt's of copper not pounds

so the 2010 updated P&P reserves indicate 916.4Mt of ore at 0.65% Cu

that would be about 11.9 B pounds of copper

They have an inferred resource of 183 Mt @ 0.45% Cu which would be about 1.65 B pounds Cu.

So the missed 'Kt' does amount to a significant increase in reserves and thus a new valuation., so cudos to you exploration guy for finding this.
