Here is some previously posted pictures from last Feb of Schaft Creek and its tributary, Hickman Creek taken some time in Autumn 2011. Folks should note that most (all?) fish in BC spawn in the fall.

I think the natural water coming out of Schaft into the Mess Creek is not very suitable to quality fish habitat. It probably contains more heavy metals than I would expect to come out of the Skeeter TSF.

These images came from a professional photographer working for an enviro organization (Rivers without Borders IIRC). Interesting that they took these images out of the gallery of images they originally posted on the 'pristine wilderness'.

This image shows how 'chocolate' Schaft creek can look. The muddy water is coming out of the Hickman valley - probably from the glacier shown in the bottom image.
