Firstly, Webgog's post was not removed. It is still there. Folks should look first before claiming stuff is gone.

Secondly, there as many people who are incensed that we are not having the political discussion here as there are who are for it. Willy Nilly suggested that the political debate be taken to the Off Topic forum where there has been a bit of a discussion going on.

3rd. I don't personally see the need to debate this issue on the main forum as it mostly involves conjecture and what-ifs. We have enough here just understanding the Teck Agreement, the day to day events as well as the non-events with this stock. The election is 4 months away, we can't bet exactly on what party will win and, if they do, whether there will be a majority or minority government and what policies the new gov. will go after 1st and how. The past governments' records are no guarantee of future governments' policies and we can debate that to death and still not arrive anywhere.

One think I've learned from ANY of these debates is that they just spiral down and down till we are trading personal attacks and declarations of moral superiority.

So, as Willy and others have suggested, please take the political debate to the off-topic forum and debate away.
