I think we have to also realize that this could involve a third party right now. CIC might be the one spending the $$ in the end and their pockets make Tecks look tiny. It is most likely very complex. Teck will NOT go at this alone, they like to partner. The question is whether they want to partner now and reduce their upfront cash or backin for 75%, pay a premium for the other 25% and then sell 50% interest for a bundle. If I were a Teck shareholder that would sound pretty good to me any way you slice it.
