As part of the ongoing normal course issuer bid (approved for the re-purchase of up to 20 mln class B shares between June 28, 2012 and June 27, 2013), Teck repurchased 3.8 mln Class B shares in Q4 for $123 mln.

At quarter end, Teck had $3.3 bln in cash, $7.2 bln in long-term debt and approximately $1.1 billion available on its credit facilities. Teck’s cash balance stands at $2.9 bln as of February 6, 2013.
