CUU own 25% Schaft Creek: proven/probable min. reserves/940.8m tonnes = 0.27% copper, 0.19 g/t gold, 0.018% moly and 1.72 g/t silver containing: 5.6b lbs copper, 5.8m ounces gold, 363.5m lbs moly and 51.7m ounces silver; (Recoverable CuEq 0.46%)
If a drilling program were to be announced, I think it would be an indication that the company is being run responsibly, looking ahead and preparing for all eventualities. It would also indicate that CUU is making no presumption of Teck intentions. While I agree that Teck can't be "scared" into making a decision, I also agree with Meta; an announcement of intent to drill is just that - an announcement, easily changed according to circumstance. Unlike others, it's one NR, if issued, that I wouldn't mind CUU reneging on. But, although I'd much prefer that the whole thing is settled sooner rather than later, I could live with a drilling program carried through too, if that's what it's going to take.
