I think because theoritically, it would take Teck only months to earn that controlling operator position anyway.

Whatever percentage Teck opts for they have to spend the money completely before they earn any percentage--they don't earn % as they go along. The JV only comes after they have finished spending their money. (In the meantime they operate under the 60-day JV that we are expecting shortly.)

The money that Teck spends to earn-back their percentage is not automatically mine development money, because again, Teck has the sole discretion whether to make this a mine or not. They could spend all the money exploring.
