Some may argue that there's still a great opportunity to buy a pile of shares now and realize a double, or possibly better, on those. But the chance still remains that Teck passes on Schaft Creek, as hard as it is for some of us to believe, and then a tumble in share price and another year or two of waiting can arguably be expected.

It's sad that we writing in such terms after having waited a few years already but it doesn't appear that there's going to be much to cheer about for those with an average of $2 or higher.
