Message: Our unfortunate reality

Our unfortunate reality is becoming clearer. It is not a good time to be a junior for sure. We have a strong property and a well thought out plan (power, port, multiple targets for expansion), but we are not bargain priced. We want fair value and have EE's backing to support our demands for fair value.

If we can look at this from Teck's perspective:

  • Many drowning juniors available at fire sale prices (some incredible values out there - pennies on the dollar)
  • Many other majors' multi billion $ write downs on their recent aquisitions (Imnet, BHP, etc)
  • Uncertainty in the future economy, very depressed junior sector
  • Likelyhood that NDP goverment will be coming into power (unknown true agenda, desire to appear green and socialist)

and then consider:

  • Our excellent property package, with possible synergies with Galore - but with a hard to sell to their shareholders 200% (or 600% for the holdout true beleivers) premium to our 90 day share price level?

I wish things looked better for us, and if we could have got this done last December as originally planned things may have looked better for us. We have a lot of potential shown with the magnetic surveys, exploratory drilling (mira too?) and the improving grades as we go deeper (if we can get them, 800m deep pit would have pretty steep walls or we would have to widen it a lot if that is possible). Our proven pounds in the ground are already in the FS, and our share price is where the market values us. How much premium can they get away with without looking like fools? I hope to see as close to $2 as possible, but I don't want to see Teck walk (a real possibility offered up by Jason). More years and dillution isn't worth a possible better price down the road in my opinion - I just want to get as much of my investment back SOON (or even a small profit) and get this company in my rear view mirror.
